Meet Dr. Lisa Richard
Move better, live better ! That’s Chiropractic !
Starting Chiropractic
I was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic following an accident at the age of 18. During my recovery, chiropractic care was the only treatment that provided meaningful relief from my neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort. That experience shaped my professional path and instilled in me a deep appreciation for a healthcare approach that is non invasive, drug free, and capable of complementing medical and surgical care when appropriate.
With over 25 years of clinical experience, I remain committed to delivering patient centered, evidence informed care. I have also served as the Chair of the International Chiropractic Regulatory Society, where I contribute to advancing professional standards and regulatory excellence within the chiropractic community.
Chiropractic Education
The biggest goal is trying to reach and help as many people as I can. I attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. I loved that the classroom sizes were much smaller than the large university classrooms I had not been accustomed to previously.
Offering a Wide Range of Chiropractic Care
Chiropractors are widely recognized for their effectiveness in treating back pain, neck pain, and headaches. In addition to these common concerns, I have a strong clinical interest in managing extremity conditions, including disorders of the foot, knee, hip, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. I have continued to pursue continuing education in the assessment and treatment of extremity injuries to better support patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns.
I enjoy caring for patients across all stages of life, from infants to seniors. I have also completed training in the Webster Technique, a chiropractic approach with a special interest to support women throughout pregnancy.
Our office can also offer custom orthotics, custom bracing for a variety of injuries, and cold laser therapy as part of our comprehensive treatment options.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, music continues to be a big part of my life. I maintain an active musical career that occasionally takes me on the road across Canada, Europe and Nashville once or twice a year. Some of my original music has received national airplay, including on SiriusXM, and I have had the privilege of performing with Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers during one of my trips to Nashville. Videos of those performances can be found on my Facebook page and YouTube.
I am also passionate about giving back to the community and regularly support local charities, including shelters, food banks, youth sports teams, and fundraising initiatives.
At home, life is a little quieter these days with my cat, Harry, who makes sure he gets his share of attention and keeps things interesting.
